July 22, 2016: "Lakbay Harana" (Event Gallery)

"Lakbay Harana" outreach tour is an offshoot of a series of concerts held last year at the Bulwagang Nicanor Abelardo (CCP Main Theater Lobby) entitled Harana sa Dapit Hapon which was jointly undertaken by the CCP and the Tribung Pilipino Foundation (TPF). It aims to promote and reawaken the public’s interest and appreciation (especially the young generation) for immortal kundimans, harana, balitaw, danza and unforgettable love songs by great Filipino composers. For 2016, the production will brought on outreach tours in four local communities in Luzon and will feature noted classical artists Myramae Meneses (soprano), Antonio Ferrer (tenor), Agot Espino (pianist) with special participation of the Kabataang Gitarista. The program opened with soprano

by Mr. Augusto Espino on the piano.

Next, young tenor Arman
Ferrer took the stage.

The two then sang duets.

There followed the guitar sextet "Kabataang Gitarista,"
who also performed solo and duet pieces.

The singers graced the stage again, closing the program with an encore.
